Today’s Vision is optometry’s best-kept secret. We are the only group that shares vendor co-op dollars directly with its licensees.
Because we are doctor-owned, Today’s Vision does not pay its “profits” to one or two individuals or a corporate investment group. Each licensee has the autonomy to operate as he or she sees fit, including purchasing. However, because we have created preferred vendor relationships in which all licensees receive the same benefits and co-op for our group sales, our licensees have realized that working together to support these vendors is in their best interest.
Licensees receive a protected service area and pay $500 a month dues. Since our inception seven years ago, each year our dues and co-op have exceeded our low-overhead budget. The proceeds have been redistributed to each licensee in products and services that help their practices grow. In fact, the value of our benefits EXCEEDS the monthly dues by more than double.
Some of these benefits include: Solution Reach (an email and text message marketing service); Eyefinity individual websites; Vue Care waiting room animations, Frames Data, continuing education and an annual meeting at a major U.S. city.
Licensees also have access to an intranet site with valuable practice tips and the latest product news.
We also provide additional support to doctors opening their own practices, including a 10-page checklist, pro formas, price lists, financing vendors and a broker to negotiate your lease if you desire.
Vision Monday ranked Today’s Vision the 27th largest Key Optical Player for 2011 U.S. sales. Our licensees meet quarterly to share ideas.
